{"id":3009350,"date":"2022-04-13T09:56:24","date_gmt":"2022-04-13T07:56:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.lampo.it\/?p=3009350"},"modified":"2025-07-21T07:52:07","modified_gmt":"2025-07-21T07:52:07","slug":"europe-triathlon-cup-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lampo.it\/en\/activities\/europe-triathlon-cup-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Europe Triathlon Cup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last year\u2019s edition saw a huge increase in entries compared to 2019 and this summer the Europa Triathlon Cup will be back in Caorle\u00a0<strong>from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 May<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It takes a huge amount of strength, stamina and mental and physical fitness to take on the <strong>three stages<\/strong> in the multidisciplinary sport. Athletes go straight from <strong>swimming<\/strong> to <strong>cycling<\/strong> and then immediately start <strong>running<\/strong>. Nonetheless, there\u2019s no shortage of people who are desperate to brave the challenges that the race presents!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8211; The <strong>classic triathlon<\/strong> at the Olympics involves 1500 m of swimming, 40 km of cycling and 10\u00a0km of running.<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; In Caorle, the<strong> Elite race<\/strong> involves 750 metres of swimming, 19.2 km of cycling and 5 km of running, in the sea off the coast of Porto Santa Margherita and then on the land on the roads between Porto Santa Margherita and Lido Altanea.<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; The <strong>Junior race<\/strong> involves 300 m of swimming, 9.3 km of cycling and 1.9 km of running.<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; A <strong>relay race<\/strong> has been introduced in 2022, with mixed male and female teams that can feature athletes from different countries. It is a great opportunity for coaches to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the triathletes, who will do 300 m of swimming, 6.3 km of cycling and 1.5 km of running.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The event has been organized by Silca Ultralite Vittorio Veneto. There are now less restrictive COVID rules in place, so big crowds are expected to flock to watch the races, which will make it all even more spectacular and engaging.<br \/>\nPlease note that on 13, 14 and 15 May the roads used for the cycling and running stages may be <strong>closed for a number of hours<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3009337\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lampo.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/triathlon_caorle.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"470\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-3009342\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lampo.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/triathlon_psm.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"470\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><strong>How to get to Caorle:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>It\u2019s easy to get to Caorle from other countries by flying to the following nearby <strong>airports:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8211; Marco Polo Airport (VCE) &#8211; Venice &#8211; 52 km<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; Antonio Canova Airport (TSF) &#8211; Treviso &#8211; 61 km<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; Friuli Venezia Giulia Airport (TRS) &#8211; Trieste &#8211; 90 km<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; The ATVO bus service (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.atvo.it\/it-servizio-aeroporti.html\">https:\/\/www.atvo.it\/it-servizio-aeroporti.html<\/a>) can take you from the airports to Caorle and back again.
