Marina di Venezia Beach

If you’ve been looking into a beach holiday near Venice, Marina di Venezia is a great choice. The site sits on a stretch of golden sand on the Cavallino-Treporti peninsula, just across the water from St Mark’s Square, and the beach in front of it is one of the longest and best-equipped on the whole northern Adriatic.

In this guide, we’ll cover what the Marina di Venezia Beach is actually like to spend a day on, the famous Beach on Fire Marina di Venezia firework event, the parties and nightlife, and share the services and facilities located there.

What you need to know about Marina di Venezia Beach

Marina di Venezia is a 5-star camping village in Cavallino-Treporti. The whole site covers around 80 hectares of pinewood, but the bit most people come for is the beach itself. The slope into the sea is very gentle, which is why Italian paediatricians have given this stretch of coast a green flag as a good destination for kids

Relaxing on the Marina di Venezia shoreline

Marina di Venezia Beach is known for its clean sand, a sea that stays shallow for a long way out, lifeguards, sun beds that don’t cost a fortune, and enough space that even in August.

The beach is split into three equipped zones with sun loungers and umbrellas for hire, plus large free areas if you want to roll out your own towel. There’s a separate dog beach near Gate 0, wide wooden walkways for buggies and wheelchairs, and even chairs available at the lifeguard towers for guests with mobility needs.

The dunes behind the beach are part of a protected SIC (Site of Community Interest) zone, so the whole place feels a bit more natural than the manicured strips further south.

Beach pros and cons

What worksWhat to bear in mind
Wide, shallow, family-friendly waterMosquitoes can be a pain at dusk, so bring repellent
Plenty of free unequipped spaceAugust weekends get genuinely busy
Separate dog beach with bathing areaSome areas of the sand can get hot. Make sure to wear your flip-flops
Lifeguards and clinics on-siteSun loungers in the prime spots fill up by mid-morning

Beach on Fire Marina di Venezia: The longest fireworks show on earth

If you’re going to plan your trip around one date, Beach on Fire Marina di Venezia is the main event of the Cavallino-Treporti summer. It’s officially a Guinness World Record holder for the longest synchronised firework display in the world. Around 10 launch stations are spread along 13 kilometres of coast, from Punta Sabbioni in the south up to the Cavallino lighthouse in the north, and everything goes off in perfect sync.

The 2026 event is confirmed for Saturday, 22 August. It usually kicks off around 9.30–10 pm, depending on sunset, and the show itself runs for roughly half an hour of continuous launches.

Tips for enjoying a stress-free night

  • Get to the beach at least two hours early, by 7.30 pm, the prime sand is gone
  • Bring a blanket, not a beach chair (more comfortable on the sand for a long wait)
  • Pack water, snacks and bug spray, kiosks get mobbed
  • Sit far enough back that you can see launches both north and south of you
  • If you’re driving in, expect serious traffic, leave the car and walk in from your accommodation
  • For something different, book a lagoon boat cruise that watches the show from the water

Local tip: don’t try to leave the beach the second the last firework ends. Stay where you are, finish your drink, and walk back when the path actually moves.

Marina di Venezia Beach Party and entertainment

Beach on Fire is the big one, but the Marina di Venezia Beach Party scene runs through the whole summer. The resort programmes live music nights, beachside DJ sets, and themed evenings on the sand from June onwards, and the village square (Piazza Marina) hosts acts and cabaret.

  • 13 km beach concert (21 June): the summer solstice live music night that spans the whole peninsula
  • Weekly DJ sets on the sand: usually Fridays and Saturdays in July and August
  • Listón promenade markets: handicrafts, local food and tastings, evenings from May to September
  • Cabaret and live shows: nightly in high season at the main amphitheatre
  • Aqua Marina by night: the water park stays open into the evening on selected dates with lights and music
  • Kids’ and teens’ clubs: separate programmes, with their own evening events on the beach

Alternatively, the bars and clubs of Lido di Jesolo are only a short drive or bike ride away. For ideas on where to head, read our article on the best aperitif spots in Jesolo, handy if you want to combine a quiet beach day with a more lively evening.

Book your stay near Marina di Venezia Beach

Marina di Venezia is a great holiday spot to enjoy a relaxed, family holiday.

The camping village itself books up fast and isn’t cheap in peak season. A smarter move for a lot of families is to stay in a private apartment or residence just up the coast in Cavallino-Treporti or Lido di Jesolo, same beach, same access to the Beach on Fire show, but with more space, and lower nightly rates.
